Provisional Itinerary
BANGALORE / CHENNAI : Departure to Chennai.
AIRPORT/ NEGOMBO : Arrival at Chennai central railway station. And transfer to airport to board the flight to srilanka. On Arrival meet greet and leave for negombo. Check in at hotel after fresh up visit to Beach, Fishing village, Temple & Churches. Back to hotel for dinner & Overnight stay at negombo.
NEGOMBO/KANDY : after fresh up and breakfast check out from the hotel and proceed to kandy en route visit to Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage. This Elephant Orphanage was established in 1975, commenced with seven orphans. Today some of these orphans enjoy the fortune of seeing their grand children born in the same location. The original objective of establishing the orphanage inclined more towards tourism, but is soon became a conservation and educational centre do a City Tour Of Kandy, the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings which is a World Heritage Site. The name “Kandy” conjures visions of splendor and magnificence. Many of the legends, traditions and folklore are still lovingly kept alive. Drive around the Kandy Lake built by the last Sinhala king, Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe in 1798. Visit the Kandy Town And Bazaar, The Arts And Crafts Centre, A Gem Museum And A Lapidary. Lunch at Senani restaurant. Also visit the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens. This botanical garden was first built as a pleasure garden by a Sinhala king and was expanded by the British. It is 147 acres in extent and provides an amazing variety of trees, plants and flowers. Dinner & Overnight stay at kandy.
KANDY / COLOMBO : After breakfast leave for Colombo Check-in to the hotel for lunch. After lunch Half a day city/ shopping tour of Colombo, driving through the commercial area of the Fort. Drive past “Pettah” – a noisy Oriental bazaar with a hotchpotch of humanity, ancient vehicles, bargains, mosques & temples. Visit Hindu temple & drive past Jumi-UL Alfar Jumma mosque. Continue the tour through the Wolvendaal Dutch Church and Hultsdorf Law Courts, to the residential area of Cinnamon Gardens and on to the Independence Square and Bandaranayake Memorial International Conference Hall and Old Parliament. Also, visit the ceramics corporation showroom, majestic city shopping complex, House of Fashion, and the Odel unlimited dress boutique. (04 hours) Dinner & Overnight stay at Colombo.
COLOMBO/AIRPORT : After breakfast Day Free at Leisure. There after leave for Airport in time for the departure flight. And arrive at Chennai airport. On arrival proceed to Chennai railway station and departure to Bangalore by Chennai-Bangalore mail.
BANGALORE : Arrival at Bangalore City Railway Station
